2pac as we know lived a turbulent life which had him first in NY, later Baltimore and finally in Marin City California where he hooked up with Digital Underground as a dancer and began his rap career.
As a child he was enrolled in the 127th street Ensemble which was a Harlem based theater group. He later went to school at Baltimore School for the Arts where he furthered his acting. This was the same school that actress Jada Pinkett attended. It was in Baltimore where 2Pac first picked up the mic and began sporting the name MC New York. When he moved to Marin City he hooked up with a rapper named Ray Luv to form a group called Strictly Dope. From there he linked up with Digital Underground and the rest is Hip Hop history.
His rap career eventually branched out to include 4 albums, 4 movies and and 8 months of prison cells. His life was tragically cut short on September 13th 1996 in Las Vegas California as the result of gunshot wounds..
The lose of 2Pac was one that shook up the Hip Hop world. 2Pac was bigger than life and many claim he was to Hip Hop what Elvis was to Rock-N-Roll. He candidness and brutal honesty were the attributes that people seemed to admire most about Pac. His intelligence and willingness to embrace the things he spoke about were also major draws. Toward the end of his career, 2Pac was set to harness his star power and turn it into the type of political activism that would undoubtly effect the youth and his fan base. One can only imagine how things would be if 2Pac were still alive. How do you think things would've turned out had 2Pac been around for his 28th birthday? or better yet do you think he's still alive?
